Intrawest Resorts Tremblant

Tremblant Ski Resort is owned and operated by Intrawest Resorts, one of the largest resort operators in North America. Intrawest, a relatively new player, was founded in 1976 as a privately funded company. In the late 80’s, the company expanded its portfolio and purchased Blackcomb Mountain and Fortress Mountain.

Tremblant Ski Resort was purchased by Intrawest Resorts in 1991, at which time they expanded the resort’s Pedestrian Village and built the Grand Manitou Summit Lodge. Intrawest also built new, modern ski lifts including the gondola.

Intrawest eventually went public and was listed on both the New York and Toronto Stock Exchanges. The company acquired a large number of ski resorts and had significant debt when it was purchased in 2006 by Fortress Investment Group, a private equity investment company.

Today Intrawest Resorts employees more than 34,000 people from 48 different countries and has an impressive portfolio of ski resorts that includes:
